Culinary culture in and around Venice has a long tradition and is the result of the intermingling and influences of ingredients from the land, rivers and seas with the transplanting of flavours from distant countries with which Venice has had relations since ancient times.
From its very beginnings, the city had to carefully manage the lagoon and its lands in order to respond carefully to the need for food and water of a growing population.
And it was precisely in those areas surrounding it and in the territories that formed part of the Republic of the Serenissima that it built up its great treasure trove of resources.
We can enjoy them just by crossing the lagoon, by boat and by bike and tasting the many products from local family farms and from
organic farming alike, all carefully selected and produced with love and respect for the environment.

Cooking course in historic Venetian palace and lunch.
- Day 3 — Vicenza
Vicenza and Bacalà Tour
Visit to the Palladian villa and introduction to the culinary habits of Vicenza. Visit to the hometown of the bacalà, the renowned dish of Vicenza, and lunch in one of the restaurants of the famous Bacalà Brotherhood.
- Day 4 — Colli Berici
Colli Berici: cooking experience with wild herbs
Walk to explore the area and learn about wild herbs.
Cooking class with wild herbs to learn about the beneficial uses of plants and natural remedy recipes.
- Day 5 — Park of the Euganean Hills
Regional Park of the Colli Euganei
Activities to explore the Colli Euganei’s excellent produce: wine, oil and typical flavours.
Visit to an oil mill and a wine cellar and tasting of organic olive oil and wines from the Colli Euganei.
- Day 6 — Venice Lagoon
The Venice Lagoon by boat
Recreational fishing excursion: boat trip to the islands of the Venice lagoon with recreational fishing and lunch cooked with locally produced ingredients.
